Leading experts to speak at battery & energy storage technology conference

Speakers from US Department of Energy, academia and industry to meet November 5th in Buffalo, NY

Buffalo, N.Y., October 29, 2014 – The New York Battery and Energy Storage Technology Consortium (NY-BEST) and the US Department of Energy’s Joint Center for Energy Storage Research (JCESR) are jointly hosting a battery and energy storage technology conference at the Adams Mark Hotel in Buffalo on Wednesday, November 5th from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m, with a networking reception immediately following.

More than 25 experts in the field of energy storage technology will participate in panel discussions arounda variety of topics, including: new battery chemistries, battery longevity and performance, energy storage in electric grid applications and the latest developments in fuel cells and flow batteries.

Speakers from the following leading companies, universities and organizations will be presenting at the conference: Solar City, General Electric, MIT, Brookhaven National Laboratory, Cornell University, Harvard University, SUNY Binghamton, Argonne National Laboratory, SUNY Stony Brook, NYSERDA, AES Energy Storage, CUNY, Columbia University, Sandia National Laboratories, EnerVault, United Technologies, Alfred University, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, WATT Fuel Cells, DNV GL, Invenergy, Green Charge Networks, Electric Power Research Institute, and Consolidated Edison.

NY-BEST and JCESR have also invited students with advanced research in the energy storage field to exhibit posters of their work at the conference and network with industry leaders.
